Chicken Fried Gourmet – the blog was started in August of 2006 to document my love of cooking and all things food. In the beginning I was not sure what direction I wanted to take the blog with regards to the type of food things I wanted to cover. Over time I have evolved the blog to mostly cover my individual cooking,the experiences that come into my life via my curiosity of all things culinary and sometimes the restaurants that I find uniquely interesting.
Through this website I have established many online “foodie” friendships and even some that have turned into actual friendships. Let me tell you how bad it sounds when I tell people “We are going to meet that guy I met on the internet” 
This site has also brought me closer to realizing that what I really want to do with my life, my career, my future belongs in the food world. I have not yet pinpointed that exact “thing” but I am steadily moving closer to this goal.
Just in the last 12 months or so I have had the opportunity to buy into an established restaurant (didn’t quite work out), I auditioned for a new reality cooking show on the FOX network (made it far but didn’t make the cut) and in late August 2010 I am opening a small coffee shop in the newly built Cyber Innovation Center in Bossier City (EDIT : Closed in March 2011).
I am not sure what the future holds for myself or this site but I hope you find it interesting enough to follow us on this culinary journey.
